Linda and I wish everyone a wonderful and happy holiday season and a new year. I know Linda and I are certainly looking forward to a much healthier new year.
I plan on getting back outside on my recumbent trike as soon as my hip is better. I was using it inside as a stationary exercise trike but haven't been able to do that in over a month. I've been enjoying the gator cruising around the neighborhood, hoping I don't get a ticket. The fastest I've been is 35 mph. The manual says it will do 45mph. I'm more of a 15 mph guy. Linda also wants to learn how to drive it, which is good. I already have lots of projects lined up. It's time to get this lot cleaned up again.
Look for the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction, which is the closest since the middle ages, low in the western sky about an hour after sunset tonight. We're going to drive up to the Buckhead cemetery where we have the best chance of locating it. In our area the 'seeing' will be poor (like looking through an aquarium) but I may still try and take some photos.
I have two photos for you today. The flower was the last of the season for Linda's deck. What's amazing is that this photo was taken from 16 feet away. The second photo is of a pine siskin. We usually have dozens to over 100 each year but this year I only saw two.
enjoy and stay safe
