I finally threw out my science experiment. The bag of hotdog buns that expired last July. There was still no mold on them and they were still soft. Kinda scary. Maybe I'll have to start baking again.
I think I misnamed Phoebe. I'm now calling her farticus. She can sure clear a room. And yes, she's growing like a weed and eats anything she can get her mouth on.
Since it's supposed to be midwinter and miserable weather I decided to photographed the snapdragons blooming on our deck. It's supposed to be in the mid 70's on Saturday. Crazy weather for sure. Hopefully, they will cheer up those of you enduring the 'real' cold weather. I would like to see a couple of days with snow but around here it falls, looks beautiful for a couple of hours then melts on the warm roads and freezes into ice when the temperature falls. The first photo was taken a couple of years ago in early March. See the cute spider peaking out from the petals? The second photo was taken this morning. It was one of two very pretty flowers. I was setting up to take a photo of the first flower when my assistant, Phoebe, walked up and ate it. Didn't I say she eats everything. I quickly plucked the remaining flower and photographed it inside.
