I'm getting to teach my photography course at the John C Campbell Folk School next week. It should be another wonderful week. And it's over ten+ degrees cooler there. I did buy a new mirror-less camera this week. I plan on taking it on my trike rides. It weights less than a pound. I was concerned about bringing my and expensive DSLR because it's so heavy and the small video camera just wasn't giving me the quality photos I wanted. Note to self...don't buy a new camera a few days before you're going to use it in a photography class. I purchased the canon m50 which has their newest processor. Unfortunately for me it produces .cr3 photo files which aren't compatible with any of my photo editing software. Adobe isn't updating any of their desktop software and trying to force everyone to their cloud based software. Well I'm not going to rent software. If I can't buy it I don't want it.
I have two photos this week taken with my new camera (I came up with a way to work around adobe). Both photos were taken at our property in the Deerlick Astronomy Village. One shows all my tractor toys. See the big red thing in the middle? It's a seeder/spreader and is probably the dumbest thing I've purchased in decades. It's not 'what was I thinking' but 'why wasn't I thinking'. The other photo is looking across our field toward the pond. I know, the grass needs cutting.
