This is a very different critter this week.
I've decided to participate in the Great Cycle Challenge. The Great Cycle Challenge USA is a national Children's Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) fundraising initiative held throughout June. I've set myself a goal of triking 250 miles and raising $500 for cancer research. Why? Because over 15,700 American children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and sadly, 38 children die every week. I'm riding to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve, and CCRF believes that any one individual can make a personal impact to fight cancer and save little lives. I'm riding in memory of my sister in law Maureen Thoman. While not a child she was much to young to die.
If you have a few spare dollars please go to https://greatcyclechallenge.com/Riders/DanielThoman and make a donation.
I have two photos from my Buckhead 24 mile loop for you today. The first is of me about to reach top top of an 8 degree hill and in the second I'm enjoying the wildflowers.
