I couldn't believe the rain/wind storm we had Monday night.  We've had two 100 year rain events in the 30 years we've lived here and this is the first time part of our driveway has washed away. We also have a new ditch running down the hill from the shop. Walking around the neighborhood it looks like several other people had the same problems.  Lots of driveways are now part of the yard.  I should put up a sign at our entrance that says 'tractor work available'.  Tomorrow I'm heading out to the observatory.  I'm dreading to see what the storm did to the newly landscaped areas.

I have two photos for you today.  The first is of a female giant swallowtail laying eggs.  If you look close you can see the tiny white eggs on the leaf.  The second photo is of Stash doing one of his favorite things.  Relaxing and grooming.  His other favorites activities are sleeping, eating and bouncing off the walls like a crazy animal.  I can't believe how big he's gotten.  And yes, he's still a mama's boy.
