I'm just about finished with the warm room. Put up trim, paint, lay carpet, install the AC and I'm ready to go. Linda said she would do the painting which made me smile. I can paint, I just don't like to. It's almost as bad as hanging sheetrock. Yes, this is Georgia so there has to be an air conditioner. Observatory convention dictates that it be called a 'warm room' and I'm not one to upset the observing gods. It's going to be named the 'wood-duck' warm room because if you don't stay 'ducked' you'll wish you 'wooda'. If you're over 5' 6" you're going to hit your head if you try and stand.
I have two photos today. The first is of a motley looking American goldfinch. He's not not going to find a mate looking like that. Another month and he'll be a beautiful gold. Linda looked at the photo and said it set off her wrong-o-meter. "Dianthus don't grow out of dead wood." I said that I liked it and the flower adds interest so here it is. The second photo is a silhouette of a tufted titmouse. I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone and try new techniques on old subjects.
