I hope everyone went out and looked at the geminids meteor shower last night.  It was a beautiful night.  I been having a lot fun with the tractor. You know, boys with toys.  The property at the observatory is looking a lot better.  I didn't realize how deep the ditch in the lower part of the property was.  Over four feet.  I'm glad I didn't try to mow over it.  There were several other holes around the property,  I called them ankle breakers or leg breakers depending on how deep they were.   I'm filling them as I find them.

I have two photos of a Christmas cactus for you today.  It bloomed orange this year rather than red.  The first photo is looking at the front of the flower and the second is looking at it from underneath.  The underneath photo was easy because of the way the cactus laid over the side of the pot.  The  difficult shot was of the front.  No, I didn't end up in traction but had to use several ice packs and an adult beverage (or two) before I felt better. Speaking of Christmas...it's eleven days away.  No, I haven't finished my shopping.
