I thought that I would get the critter out early this week since I'm going to be involved with a wedding on Friday (and recovering Saturday).

I do have a shameless plug for my upcoming photography class.   I'll be teaching at the John C Campbell Folk School the week of  May 29th.  The class titled "The World, Up Close & Personal"  is a nature photo class covering everything from macro to landscape.  Here's the link:

This class has been popular and we've always had a great time.  We'll explore the school property and gardens, visit state parks and find some waterfalls.  There are only two spots left in my class so if you're interested you need to sign up.

I have two photos for you today.  The first is (are) fungal conks.  Don...I hope I identified these correctly, if not let me know.  The second photo is of a crocus that is blooming next to our driveway.
