January 24, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

It's been another one of those weeks I'd like to forget culminating with our old cat, salami, dying.   He adopted us over 16 years ago and was full grown then so we didn't really know how old he was.  Anyway...I'm sad.  He really was the nicest cat and even liked children.  I was amazed the day I saw him on my neighbor's dock with about ten young children and a few adults all jumping in the water and splashing each other.  He didn't mind getting wet but drew the line at swimming.

I have two photos for you today.  The first is a zygopetalum adelaide meadows orchid we saw at the State Botanical Garden in Athens GA and the second is bark from a paper bark maple backlit by the sun.

enjoy

Dan
